Songs of August

Beside the independence song of Indonesia, which should be all the Indonesian citizen’s song of the month, I’ll put these two as my songs of the month.

1# Jason Mraz – Make it mine

No hesitate that this song is an immensely wonderful song. Its lyric, melody, and music arrangement are well done (even when only played by Mraz’s only voice and his only accoustic guitar, It’s still nice yet enjoyable). Why did I put this into my thread as songs of August? I finally recollected Mraz’s album by this month. It’s been 4 months since the catastrophe of losing throughout my data in my PC happened.
I play this song more than 20 times a day. I won’t get bored until I find my next songs of the month. kekekek.

2# Kath Bloom – Come Here (OST Before Sunrise)

The second song, hmmm…
I just madly HEART this movie, one of my favorite movie ever. It’s like no other romance movie. Somehow It looks too real to be a movie. kekekek.
I watched this years ago. But something that has happened to me recently, has brought me the desire to replay its soundtrack and re watch some scenes. kekekek.

Selamat berpuasa

Tadi pagi sepupu mainin piano lagu lawas ini. Liriknya bagus…

Didi Mirhard – Renungan

RENUNGAN

Dikesunyian ku merenung
Duduk bersimpuh
Berkawan malam
Terpejam mata tanpa bersuara
Menghayati getaran jiwa

Tiada kata yang terucap
Saat sinarMu datang menyapa
Betapa kecil diriku ini
Dibatas bayangMu

Datanglah sepanjang hari
Jangan lepas lagi
Dekap diri ini dalam pelukanMu

Puji syukur padaMu Tuhan
Hanya padaMu kuberlindung

Rigi Kulm (Lucerne, Switzerland)

on August 14th 2009, I went to the top of Mount Rigi, Rigi Kulm, also named as “Queen of the Mountains”, with the mountainrailway (The first mountainrailway in Europe). Mt. Rigi is part of The Alps. It is situated in Lucerne, Switzerland.
on my way to the top

on my way to the top

getting closer to the top

getting closer to the top

here I am on the top

here I am on the top

Rigi Kulm (Lucerne, Switzerland) - August 14th 2009

Rigi Kulm (Lucerne, Switzerland) - August 14th 2009

If I take this kind of journey as one of life’s analogy. Attempting to be at the top is might be the purpose, on my way there,  I’ll learn first how to get there, whether to take train, heli, or hiking. Then I’ll meet people. There are things on my left and right. As well as life, all the things I’m going to passing by, can be captured and memorised but some will just go by the way they are. These sort of things, I’d like to name them as : KNOWLEDGE and MEMORIES.

Being on the top doesn’t always mean I’m huge and good. I sometimes need to look down, and realise how small I am actually. As I looked against the nature at that time; I felt nothing but small; I just stood there and thought : “It’s stunningly beautiful, but it’s not mine nor my creation. This nature belongs to God”, so how priceless it will be, if I just instantly go there without having knowledge and memories. These sort of things, I’d like to name them as : GRATITUDE.

My just-a-thought will be, “It doesn’t matter whether I fail or succeed. Because even if I’m on the top, What I have at the time is just not mine. Ultimately I won’t bring them anywhere, what matter is the way I get these knowledge and memories and making life with those. With gratitude I’ll live happily and loveful. “

Time is a tree

Where has the time flown? The more I think, the stranger It feels that some of those plans were just brimming (without traces) with all that much-yet-wasted time.

Regret always comes way too late.

Maybe it’s true, that :

“Time is not a river. Time is a tree. Branches, roots, limbs, the leafing. Time defoliates. Time buds. Time cracks.”

— Robert Boswell from The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards, one of O’s 25 Books of Summer

…and when it’s already cracked up.

I ought to find a new tree. There’s no way you can fix living things that are already cracked up (physically, not mentally). Yes I realised, Time is not just a “noun” in English, It’s one living thing, which when it passes away, as well as death, It will never ever come back to you howsoever.

….but it’s never too late to start all over again.

Semangat, Hwaiting, Viel Glück!!!
